About UsOne2OneMate was founded on the simple premise that K-8 schools need an affordable, and highly durable computing device that doesn’t require an army of technicians and network support personnel to manage them. With extensive background in the technology industry – designing, developing and manufacturing products for K8, our leadership teamset out with the vision of creating an educationally focused student computing device with a Total Cost of Ownership of under $100/year* Company Focus Through research and investigation with industry experts in student computing as well as extensive interviews with teachers, administrators, and technology directors, we have adopted the following key tenets to guide our design process for the StudentMate™ product:
Company History Our advisory board, which includes industry luminaries in the fields of technology integration, instructional technology and school management guided us through this process, and continues to work with us to identify updates/revisions/and improvements to the StudentMate™ product offering. After our first year of extensive research, we shipped a beta version of the StudentMate™ computer to a handful of carefully selected pilot sites for the purpose of collecting customer feedback and recommendations. In mid 2007 we released a commercial version of the StudentMate™ and also received our first published product reviews . Today we are offering pre-qualified schools and districts the opportunity to evaluate a demonstration version of the StudentMate™ allowing them to experience how quickly, easily, and affordably a One2One program can be implemented with the StudentMate™ product.
